The stats are in:

He is a healthy boy! The doctor is very pleased with his progress and said he looks great. She also said that he should start eating 3 meals of solids a day. Wow! Since I'm already giving him fruit for breakfast and veggie for dinner, his lunch meal can consist of meat. Another wow! I specifically asked her when we can start meat, and she said that since I make my own food, we can start now as long as it's pureed. I'll probably introduce meat in the next 2-4 weeks.
I'm very happy to say that I'm still breastfeeding and haven't had to supplement. I made it 6 months. Woohoo! I think I really need to buy some formula though, because I'm not pumping as much as I used to and I only have about 8 ounces left in the freezer. Yikes! Jack's doctor said that it's great I made it through winter because that's when we're most at risk of getting sick. She also said his runny nose probably didn't turn into anything more thanks to the immunities he received. That made me feel great! I am so happy I've been able to successfully breastfeed for this long.
Jack got 2 shots today and it didn't go as well as last time. I was standing by his head, holding his hands, and all of a sudden his lips turned into a pout. I hadn't even realized the nurse had given him the first shot. I just told him it was okay, but then he let out the most awful cry. I've never heard anything like it come from him before and it was seriously heartbreaking! Once I picked him up he was okay. I'm glad he got over it quickly and he's been fine ever since. It was horrible though! In case you're wondering, I was good! I have to be strong for him and luckily needles don't really bother me. In fact, I also had a shot today. I got the tetanus and pertussis vaccine from my doctor this morning. I need to stay healthy for Jack so I went for a physical. I'm happy to report that in the last 6 months (Dec. 22 until now), I have lost 53 pounds. Awesome! Now let's hope my blood work comes back with good results.
Ok, back to Jack!
Jack has changed a lot in the last month. He's a different baby and doing so much more. At 6 months, Jack:
*is wearing 9 months clothes, but has started wearing 12 months in the last week. We're starting the transition to the bigger size!
*is wearing size 3 diapers
*grabs everything and puts everything into his mouth
*rolls over both ways easily and constantly
*is able to sit up on his own for short periods
*sleeps on his tummy and is sleeping through the night (10-12 hours!)
*eats solids twice a day
Here are a few pictures:
Making raspberries! He's recently started doing this and it is so cute!
I'm not sure how I'm going to do these pictures in the future. The blocks were either falling off because he was moving around so much or he was grabbing them and trying to eat them. And this was only 3 blocks!
I can't believe how big Jack is. Just to show you the physical changes, here is a picture of him the day we left the hospital:
And here he is today in his car seat:
It's hard to remember how little he once was. He looks completely different and is such a big boy now.
Jack, I love you more than anything else in the whole world. You bring me more joy than I know what to do with and you constantly amaze me. I feel so lucky that I get to be your mama and watch you grow. I am so thankful to have you in my life. Happy 6 months baby boy!

I'm so impressed that you were able to keep the blocks on his belly! I also love the photo right before the "raspberry" one -- there's just something about his expression that cracks me up. :o)
Yay for being such a healthy boy! We're excited to see you both this weekend!
Hey! I found your blog through Ashlie's and have been reading along for a couple weeks and just had to tell you that Jack is absolutely precious! His faces are priceless :) Happy 6 months :)
A-dorable! I'm so imnpressed you can get him to keep the blocks on at all! If I lay Ava down, she flips over before I can even blink :(
Yay for making it to six months! That's so awesome, particularly knowing you've seen the results of it, both in immunity and him thriving :) I'm so happy for you guys!
Jack's six-month card is wayyy behind. I'm not on the ball lately haha.
Wow! the newborn picture compared to his six month is crazy!!! I need to go back and compare Presley's. P loves blowing raspberries too. Happy six months, Jack!! What a cutie!
