Baby week starts tonight on Discovery Health. Unfortunately I now go to bed at 8 every night so I miss all the good TV. Sleep definitely trumps TV though!!
While I was pregnant I was obsessed with all the birth stories they show on Discovery Health and TLC. I always thought that birth was a beautiful, amazing miracle, but I was a little grossed out by the whole thing as well. I'd watch the nurses put the new babies on mom's chest all gooey and gross. That wasn't appealing to me. But by the end of my pregnancy I knew I wouldn't care, and I made sure the nurses knew that I wanted my baby to go immediately on my chest. Now every time I watch these shows, I cry as soon as the babies are born and placed on mom. I'm reminded of my own birth experience and I just can't help but get emotional! Despite the messiness, it's a beautiful thing.
I love that it's March and warmer weather is finally within reach. I can't wait to take Jack to the park, zoo, aquarium, and other fun places. But it also means back to work. I have 2 short weeks left before I go back. It's going to be hard but I've gotta do it and I'll just make sure we have loads of fun on the weekends.
I ordered Jack's Easter basket from Pottery Barn Kids. I can't wait to use it for his first Easter.
I've already got lots of goodies to put inside! My friend has an 8 year old daughter and I gave her a bunny Easter basket with her name on it that I ordered from Lillian Vernon for her first Easter. She recently told me that she still has it and uses it 8 years later! How cool is that??
And I can't make a post without adding a picture of my cute little bug:

That's so funny - we just got the PB Kids magazine and I've been thinking of ordering a personalized one for Ava. Jack's is adorable!
Haha!!! Bennett has that same onesie. He got it from his Gma for Vday. :) I can't wait for warm weather either... is he going to daycare when you return to work?? Cherish your last 2 weeks!! It goes so fast!
