Yesterday morning I took Jack for a run. Something I hadn't done since May (which shocks and amazes me). Now that the weather is cooler I plan on running a lot more regularly. That should definitely help get me out of my funk. It's already working!
Jack is happier too! Take a look at my running blog for more info and pictures from my run.
Jack's top left front tooth popped through the gums over night. The right one is about to come through as well. He hasn't been cranky at all but I think he's uncomfortable. And he should be. But he's a trooper and it doesn't seem to be bothering him too much. I hope it stays that way!
Jack has also tried cheese and egg yolk (hard boiled). He loved them both! I gave him some shredded mild cheddar cheese on his high chair tray, and he ate it all without needing my help. I had to feed him the yolk because it was mushy and falling apart. I feel like we're in an in-between stage with food and I need some ideas of what to give him. We're going to try pasta soon. Probably sometime this month. And I guess I'll keep giving him various purees until he can handle more table foods. I did buy a jar of natural applesauce for him. I like making my own (and I'll do so occasionally), but one batch takes a lot of time and doesn't make a whole lot. I feel good about giving it to him as the only ingredients are organic apples and water. If it comes down to quitting breastfeeding and not making my own applesauce? I'll give up the applesauce!
It's Sunday and you know what that means? Football! Woohoo! I bought Jack the cutest Redskins outfit and he wore it today in honor of their first game.
Unfortunately, the game is only just now starting and Jack's been asleep for over an hour. I thought it was going to be on at 1 and was going to make an exception and let him watch some of it, but there will be other games!
Chasing his yellow ball:
He recently started doing this really cute pose:
Go Redskins!!!
Hope everyone has a terrific week!

I must have missed your last post. Anyway, I can not give you enough props for your dedication to pumping and breastfeeding. You should be SO proud. Also, what is that grey thing on Jack? Oh wait, is that a jacket? I completely forgot what those looked like. Our weather has yet to be under 90 degrees. JEALOUS!!! I'm dying to get outside and jog (assuming my legs don't give out from lack of use). And get outta here with that pose in the top two pics. Soooo cute.
I love that pose!! My Jack does that too - we call it the "GQ"! It's just adorable.
Thank you SO much for the Boogie Wipes recommendation. I am heading to Babies R Us tomorrow to get some. Hopefully the nose wiping won't be as bad with those.
Looks like you had a great weekend :)
Jack is so cute in his Redskins outfit. I love it! You don't have to watch the game - I saw people sporting the red and gold at the mall yesterday afternoon. All day is game day! :o)
Here's a secret - I bought natural applesauce for Asher the other day too! It really is just apples and water. Making homemade takes forever and uses a bunch of apples. The jarred stuff is less than $2, yay! Haha!
OMG. That pose is AWESOME. I die!
I've been in a bit of a funk also, and Saturday was practically plotting how I was going to stop breastfeeding in order for D to have no excuse why he can't put her to sleep or be up with her when she wakes at night. Needless to say, now that I'm feeling better I'm back on the breastfeeding bandwagon, but I know where you're coming from!
And can I just say that I never knew that the Redskins were Washington, D.C.? I kept wondering why you were a 'skins fan, and then it occured to me that they're not Washington State. I'm an idiot!
Oh My Gosh! He is too stinkin cute!!! Lol. I can't help but smile when I see his big grins! How adorable is that pose!?! Love it!
Woohoo on going running! Once again I LOVE your stroller!
Oh and you are AWESOME for all your pumping! You are a great Mommy and Jack is definitely one lucky boy :)
