He's a big boy but the doctor is very happy with how he's growing. He didn't have to get any immunizations this time, but we did get the flu shot. I thought for sure he'd get mad at me and cry, but I talked him through it and no tears were shed. Woohoo! We make a good team. :)
This month Jack tried egg yolk and cheese and has been eating more finger foods. He's getting really good at feeding himself and it's so cute. Meals take a lot longer now but we're adjusting. I'm going to give him cantaloupe and beans to try next. He eats 3 "meals" a day most days. He gets breast milk 4 times a day- two 7 ounce bottles at daycare and I nurse him morning and night. He has completely eliminated any middle of the night feedings and he sleeps 11-12 hours. Usually from 7:30-6:30. Now I just need to start going to bed earlier and everything will be great!
Jack can now wave, clap, pull himself to his knees, and go from laying down to sitting up. He's also getting really good at standing with some help. He's still doing his army crawl where he pulls himself along, but he does get his stomach off the ground and use his knees. He's very fast!
Jack is wearing size 4 diapers and 18 months clothing. Crazy, right? He's growing so fast and I can hardly keep up. He also has 4 teeth now- 2 bottom and 2 top. I can't tell if more are coming in or not. He's done really well so far with the teething and I hope it continues!
We're still exclusively breastfeeding, which I am very proud of. I made it 9 months and my next goal is to make it to October, which is just another week! I think my supply is decreasing but I'm going to keep pushing forward. Only 3 months of pumping left- finally the end doesn't seem so far away!

Jack, you are the best baby I could have ever asked for. I really don't know how or why I got so lucky. You are so sweet and funny. You make me laugh like nothing else! You have also given me more joy than I ever thought possible. Happy 9 months, little man! Mama loves you so much!

Happy nine months, Jack! I'm so super impressed with the block picture. I can't get Presley to stay still EVER!!!! What a big boy. Also, if your worried about your supply, I heard fenugreek will help a lot. I have a whole bottle that has never been opened if you want me to send it to you.
Woohoo Jack! Such a handsome little boy! Oh and props to you on Pumping and Bfing still :) Great Job momma! I was ahving issues with supply last week...I still think it's low....but it's a little better. I am gonna give it another few days and maybe try some fenugreek. Hope you get yours where you want it too!

I cannot believe you're able to get those block pictures still - impressive, mama!
Congrats on 9 months of breastfeeding! Have you tried oatmeal? I've heard mixed reviews on how it can boost your supply, but I love it and whenever I eat some for a few days in a row it does seem to increase! Just an idea :)
Happy 9 months Jack! Yay for being a healthy boy! Asher doesn't go for his check-up for another few weeks but I'm excited to see how much he weighs now - it feels like a lot!
Our babies really are a lot of fun now. You can totally make it a little longer with Bfing - we're closer to the end than to the beginning, yay!! :o)
It was so great seeing you and Jack this weekend! Love reading his updates and I'm holding my breath waiting to see what his costume is!!!
