Peaches are yummy!
Green Beans
Mmmm....pears!
I'm not sure what caused this face. Pears aren't sour!
I mix the green beans with sweet potatoes and he eats it, just not with any enthusiasm. He really likes peas, so I'm surprised he doesn't like green beans more. He loves all the fruits though! I'm looking for some new things to introduce. Here is what we have tried so far, in order (I think!):
Sweet potatoes
Bananas
Peas
Apples
Carrots
Peaches
Green Beans
Pears
He's also had cinnamon, which I puree with the applesauce. He likes everything except for carrots and green beans. I plan on trying avocado, plums, and squash next. Apricots are also an option. After those are successfully introduced, he should be ready for blueberries, mango, and yogurt. Yum! Can you suggest anything else? Have you tried something that isn't on my list? I think I'm going to start meat (chicken and turkey) at 7 months. And then comes finger food! Wow, we're moving right along and very fast! I almost can't believe it. My baby is becoming such a big boy!
He loves sitting, and does this in his car seat and high chair before getting buckled.
I'm not sure what it is, but this picture makes me smile! And if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can just barely see his bottom tooth. So cute! It looks like the one next to it is coming in too, but so far nothing has popped up. I hope, for his sake, it comes quickly and easily!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I seriously feel like I was just saying this. The weeks are going by way too fast!

What a great eater! You could also try butternut squash or zucchini, if you're looking for more variety.
Asher didn't like pears at all -- I think after the super sweetness of bananas they seem a little tart. He's just like Jack, though, if you mix them with something else he eats it right down...reluctantly. :o)
I love his green bean face! I really like to make P's food, but Babies r us had a special on "Earth's best organic" and I bought some of their wholesome breakfast jars. P loves them!! This morning we had apple yogurt oatmeal and she couldn't get enough. I might need to start getting more creative with my baby food making.
Adorable! Ava gives me strange faces with the green beans also, but she gobbles them right up. The only thing she's had any trouble with is yellow squash. Not a big fan!
I just made some pumpkin from a can or organic pumpkin...fresh is impossible to find this time of year, but it looked and smelled like it would be tasty - just a thought! I also made a broccoli puree, and will be making cauliflower at some point this week!
Oh yeah, and BTW, YOU WON THE GIVEAWAY! Yay! I'll get the book out in the mail Monday :)
I was going to suggest pumpkin as well. Once we are through the rest of the fruits (we have done bananas & applesauce so far), I am going to introduce pumpkin.
Jack also really likes cantaloupe, although he pretty much just gnaws on it like a biter biscuit. My daughter did the same with watermelon. Watch out - those get pretty messy :)
Hahaha... that is almost identical to the face that B gives when I try to give him green beans... he hates them... poor thing would rather choke than eat them. LOL so we'll try again in a few days. And maybe mixing them with something he loves, like carrots, would be a good option as well. Tricking the little guy... poor thing. I actually made some carrots tonight, just put them in the freezer. I am anxious to try them!!!! Kind of exciting!
We had a problem with green beans too - I just don't think they puree right or something. Blueberries are naturally high in pectin and kind of turn into a jelly when you puree them. We blended them into yogurt or with some oatmeal/rice cereal and apple juice.
Summer squash and acorn squash were and still are Jorja's favorites!
