There was one walker, about a half dozen crawlers, and the rest were sitters/layers. It was really amazing to see so many babies at different stages of development. I met a couple of the babies when they were younger (I went to my first event while I was still pregnant) and it's neat to watch them grow and see the changes. I can watch the older babies and get an idea of what Jack will be like in a couple months. It's also fun to see how the babies play and what interests them.
Have you ever seen so many babies in one room before?
The dads were invited too- notice how they're all standing in the background? And there's Owen, our little walker!
I'm really glad I found this group last Fall. It's great to have a network of other moms to talk to and share advice with. It's also nice for Jack to socialize with other babies. We had a great time and can't wait for the next event.
Does this look like anyone you know?

It's me! I'm not sure my exact age, but I think it's somewhere around 1 year based on me having teeth. I got my first tooth at 9 months and had 3 teeth by the time I turned 1. It also makes sense that I would've had pictures done for my first birthday. Anyway, I'm looking forward to putting my picture next to Jack's once he's this age, but don't we look a lot alike? I can't believe how much he looks like me, especially when he smiles. His face is rounder, but we have the same cheeks and chin. It's so cute!

So cute!
I belong to a mom's group as well, though most of our playdates have been at coffee shops, etc, so more a mom's playdate. I'd love to see all the babies together though playing!
That picture of you definitely shows how similar some of your facial features are - so cute!!!
Thanks for the great feeding input you left on my blog! Those are all great suggestions - exactly what I'm looking for. Ava is so interested in food that I want to start her on it so badly, but I'm really hoping to wait til six months unless she directs me otherwise somehow! I'll definitely be interested in hearing how Jack's first foods go this weekend!!
How fun! I thought about joining a group...and probably should...but I havent looked much yet. I met up with two other BBC mommies recently...which is nice since our babies are within weeks of each other.
How cute that picture of you! I would say Jack definitely looks like his Momma! wow!
yes, that picture of you was taken on your first birthday. don't ask me how i know... ;-)
That looks like fun to see all of those babies in one room!!! How did you get hooked up with that sort of group? So cute.
It's funny to look at pictures of yourself as a baby and then look at your little one... similarities abound!
I haven't tried any veggies yet... we might just try the sweet potatoes tonight. I am sticking to the 3 first foods until 6 months... there are only 3 available at Target and the jar says 4+ months... I think it's pears, apples & sweet potatoes. I will try oatmeal once he masters the rice... poor thing hates the taste though.
You will have to let me know how your food making goes!!!! I want to eventually do that...!
Oh that playgroup looks like so much fun! I joined one but have not gone to any events. After seeing your pictures, I think I am going to have to be brave & break out of my shell!
BTW: I was sort of against solids for awhile longer too, but ended up feeding Jack some squash yesterday. He did really well with it. I am not sure I am ready to accept that he is eating real food!
