Surprise Visitors

Sunday morning I took Jack to Borders (to buy The Happiest Toddler on the Block) and Kohl's dressed as the Hulk. It was Halloween after all. :) I planned on us taking it easy, getting things done around the house, and greeting trick-or-treaters. Sunday is our one day to just be home and relax. My dad texted me and said we were having company that night but didn't tell me who. It turned out my grandma and great aunt were coming from New York to spend the night with us!

Jack met his great grandma over Easter weekend, but he's changed a lot since then! He had also never met any extended family before. He is the first of his generation and the first great great nephew. That's right- Jack has great great aunts and uncles! Our family is big and we're very close. My grandma is the oldest of 7 and my great aunt Sue is the youngest (she's only 7 months older than my dad). It was such a nice surprise to have them here!

Saying good night to great grandma

Thanks for visiting! I hope we can come to New York soon to see everyone!

*For anyone wondering where I got Jack's costume- I originally saw it online and it was an immediate favorite. I then saw it at Party City (a party supply store) and was able to try it on him. I also tried out the monster costume, but it was tight in the legs and it seemed like he'd get hot wearing it for too long. It also didn't seem to really work for him. Know what I mean? The Hulk was just perfect in every way!

Just for fun, here's Jack as the monster:

Those pictures with them will be a wonderful keepsake for him - what a great surprise!

Jack was super cute as a monster, but I agree - The Hulk was the right costume for him! Too cute!
