Butler's Orchard

We had great weather this weekend so Jack's dad and I took him to Butler's Orchard for their holiday open house. It was a small event and not crowded at all. It was great!

After taking a few pictures, we roasted marshmallows. Well I did and they were yummy! Then we went on a hayride through the Christmas tree farm. We didn't go on the hayride at the pumpkin festival because it was so crowded and getting late, so this was a first for Jack. We had a lot of fun!

This boy loves wheels and all things that move and he loved looking at the tractors, especially the one that was pulling us along.

The beautiful trees:

After the hayride we went back to the market where I enjoyed some yummy apple cider and caramel apples. They sliced the apple and drizzled caramel sauce all over it. I'm not a fan of whole caramel apples but these slices were so delicious!! I even let Jack try it and he liked it too. I held up the apple slice and he bit pieces off. He's gotten so good at biting and eating food. I'm sure it helped that there was yummy caramel all over it!

We had a lot of fun! This Saturday we're going to an event where Santa and Mrs. Clause will light up a 25 foot Christmas tree. I think Jack will love it! There are so many fun things to do and see this time of year. Having Jack to share it all with makes it so much better!

What a fun event! I love this time of year with babies. It's like doing all of these things for the first time all over again, and seeing their faces marvel at everything - particularly that giant turkey, I'm sure!! - is so refreshing :)
