Talking & Laughing

Let me start by saying that Jack is a really good baby. I don't know how I got so lucky. When he wakes up, whether it be in the middle of the night or in the morning, he doesn't cry. Instead, he talks. It's seriously the cutest thing I've ever heard. At 4:30 this morning, I was awoken to him "talking" to himself like every other morning. He's a very loud talker and this morning he was exceptionally loud and cute. Luckily my camera was nearby and I was able to record some of it. It's completely dark so you can't see anything, but all you need are speakers! I was also trying to be inconspicuous but the little bugger caught me. That's why he stops and then it gets pretty silent!




Afterwards, I nursed him and we went back to bed. When we got up to start our day, I put him on his changing table to get him dressed. I went looking in his mouth to see if I noticed any signs of teething. I put my finger in his mouth but I really have no idea what I'm looking or feeling for. Well for some reason, my finger being in his mouth was a riot! He laughed like I've never heard before. A real laugh!! I was able to catch this on video as well. It looks really funny because I was just moving my fingers around to illicit a response. He gives a great laugh at about 6 seconds in and the rest is cute noise.




I really need to get to bed. Jack has had a lot of gas today and I don't think he's feeling too hot. He's a great night sleeper but last night and already tonight he woke up a couple of times. He just hasn't been himself the last couple of nights and I'm pretty sure he is starting to teethe. Earlier today I gave him a teether that I had put in the fridge and he loved it! He hasn't shown any signs that he is feeling much pain which is good. I wish I knew for sure whether or not he is teething. I guess if I see a tooth then I'll know!
