CHD Awareness Week

February 7-14 is Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week. When I was pregnant, I started following a lot of various blogs by women who were due in or around December. It was nice to know I wasn't alone and I was looking forward to seeing everyone's babies and following along with their development.

One woman had her baby, a girl named Cora, on November 30. She died on December 6 of an undetected congenital heart disease. When I read the story, I was heartbroken and couldn't stop crying. I couldn't imagine going through this myself. Cora is a very special girl and her parents are working hard to spread her story and raise awareness for CHD. I admire their strength and efforts. Please click on the button below to read her story and learn how you can help. Make sure you have tissues readily available!

Thanks for sharing our story! Spreading the word really can help. I wish I had known about CHD before Cora, but didn't
