Play with your food

On Monday I gave Jack some puffs to try. He did really well and loves them! It's fun to watch him try and get them into his mouth. He's getting much better and doesn't need much help!

Trying to get the puff in (he had one stuck in each fist too!):

Success!

It's so cute to watch him chew:

What, no more?

I guess I'll just eat my bib then:

In the last week Jack has tried pureed blueberries and chicken and he loves them both! I'm going to offer him some cheese as a finger food sometime in the next couple of weeks. I want to get him comfortable with cut up fruit and veggies first. He also loves drinking water and he LOVES drinking from a cup. It's so cute! I have to help him so he doesn't spill it everywhere, but he's so good at it. It's hard to get anything from his sippy cup, so I take the lid off and let him drink straight from the cup. He does have one cup with a straw that is easier to use and he loves it. I still can't imagine giving him his milk in a sippy cup though.

Trying something new!

 Have a great weekend!

He's BF right? Try a straw cup, rather than a sippy. (1) It's better for them & (2) BF babies have an easier time with a straw b/c it is a very similar sucking motion. We've been using a straw cup with Amelia since she was 3 months old.

Our Jack is a big fan of the puffs too. We found some at Whole Foods the other day that are made from spinach, kale & collard greens...they are surprisingly good, too! Your Jack did a great job getting them in his mouth :)

As far as the green beans go - Jack will eat them, just not put them in his mouth. He swallowed all of it and seemed to really like it. I think we are going to try some pasta soon too. I also bought some YoBaby yogurt for him (after reading your previous post!) but I keep forgetting to feed it to him!
