They had an artist doing free caricatures (I was really excited to get one) and we waited in the shady grass for him to get there.
Jack had fun playing in the grass and he made us laugh with his antics! The artist finally showed up and we were first in line to get our picture. I have a few caricatures of myself: one as a kid, one from high school, and one from a couple years ago. Eventually I'll frame and hang them all. I really wanted to get one of Jack and decided to have this one be of both of us.
It's so funny! I love how Jack looks but don't think it looks like me at all. But for a free caricature, I can't really complain! I also enjoyed a delicious BBQ beef sandwich and found a cute winter hat for Jack. Not too bad!
Afterwards, we went to Buy Buy Baby to pick up a few things and I made Jack try on this headband:
He didn't care for it but he was a good sport anyway! He's going to hate these kinds of pictures when he's older, but it's my job to take embarrassing photos. Right?
We had a fun, busy day. October is my absolute favorite month (and not just because my birthday happens to be on the 22nd) and it's usually one of the busiest of the year. This year is not going to be any different. We have something planned every weekend and we're going to be super busy. It's going to be fun though! Tomorrow we're going to take it easy and relax at home.

How fun! I Absolutely LOVE that shadow pic! Cute caricature too! Josh and I have one from when we started dating....and one from right after we got married...I would love to get one of the boys....and all four of us...but havent. Sounds like you had fun. Oh and yes...its our job to take those embarrasing pictures ; ) I love October too! Its a fun filled month for sure! :)

Embarrassing photos are the best. What else will we threaten them with when they start bringing girls home? (Scary thought...them having girlfriends. Ignore that!!!!)
I love the "strong" man face that Jack seems to be making. He's a hoot. Yay for fun fall adventures! :o)
I wish they would have something like this near our house. Heck, maybe they do and we just don't know. LOL That caricature is cute.. I think it looks kind of like you!!! I have always been weary of getting mine done b/c I didn't want them to make me look super weird.... paranoid? ya, probably. I love Fall!!!!! Thanks for sharing super cute pics again!!!
Love, love the shadow pic. So cool! Oktoberfest's are the greatest and it sounds like you had a great time. That will be so neat when you get all the caricature pics framed.
