10 Months

Wow, Jack has officially been on the outside longer than he was on the inside. I can't believe he's 10 months old! This first year is flying by faster than I ever imagined. I can't put off planning his first birthday party any longer!

At 10 months, Jack:

*wears size 18 months (or 12-18 months for brands like Old Navy)
*wears size 4 diapers
*weighs 23 1/2 pounds
*eats breast milk 4 times a day- nurses morning and night and has 2 bottles at daycare. I'm now making the change from 7 ounce bottles down to 6 1/2 ounce bottles. Now that he's not growing as much, he doesn't need as much milk.
*eats solids 3 times a day
*drinks water from a straw sippy cup
*waves, claps and gives high-fives
*pulls himself up on his knees
*imitates all sorts of sounds; it's super cute!
*"talks" a lot. He says mama quite a bit, but he doesn't know what that means yet. Hopefully soon!
*has 4 teeth- 2 top and 2 bottom

Jack still army crawls to get around and he is constantly going from crawling to sitting. It's non-stop! He pulls himself to his knees a lot now too. He has been very gradual with his development, which is actually very nice! He doesn't pull up all the way yet, but he definitely tries. If I stand him up, he's very sturdy and stands for quite awhile. Now he just needs to figure out how to get there on his own!

Jack is eating more and more finger foods, but he still gets spoon fed a lot. He usually eats yogurt for breakfast and this month he tried cottage cheese. He also tried egg yolk, white potatoes (mashed), cut up black beans, cantaloupe, broccoli, and baby's chili. I'm going to make him some pumpkin soup tomorrow. Yum!

He's also still exclusively breastfed. I can't believe I've been pumping at work for over 7 months now. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel though! I'm really looking forward to putting the pump away for good. I'm happy that I've been able to do it and grateful I haven't had any problems, but it's going to be such a relief when I don't have to do it anymore!

Now for the pictures. This month was a challenge. I can only imagine what the next 2 months will bring when I'm trying to use 6 blocks!

I can't believe I got a picture of the blocks on his stomach! I tried to get one of them on his back but no luck. I did manage to get some good ones though.

Jack, you continue to amaze me every day and I feel so lucky that I get to be your mama. I couldn't have picked a cuter, funnier, smarter, sweeter boy. "I love you through and through...yesterday, today, and tomorrow, too" (from a new book we got called, "I love you through and through").
