Kids on the Run

May 11th Jack did the toddler trot at Kids on the Run. We've been attending this event for the last 2 years. The first year we went Jack had only been walking for 2 months and all he really did was trot. Now he runs the whole way and he's pretty fast too! In addition to the toddler trot they also have a half mile and 1 mile run for kids 18 and under. Maybe next year we can attempt the half miler!

I can't believe how much Jack has changed since 2011! He was so little!

Every year they give out ribbons to the finishers. When I told Jack he was getting one he said, "No, I don't want a ribbon. I just want a medal!" He had just gotten a nice medal the week before and he's seen me get a few this year. A ribbon just isn't the same. ;)

The park where the run is held has a newly renovated playground and we had some fun there before leaving. It's so nice and we're definitely planning to go back soon!

2 updates in 1 week and they're both running related. Ha! Well Jack now has a total of 3 ribbons and 3 medals. Not bad for a 3 year old!
