Easter Weekend 2012

We've been busy around here, so I apologize for the lack of posts. My friend from New York was visiting this past weekend with her 2 year old Alexa. She's been here 2 other times and this was by far the most fun we've had. I'll definitely be posting pictures from our awesome day at the aquarium!

I need to backtrack a little and post some more about our Easter weekend. I posted the pictures from our big egg hunt with my mom's group. It was so much fun! Jack filled his basket before we were even supposed to start. It was very laid back though. I kept pulling eggs out of his basket and putting them back in the bushes. He didn't like that very much! We went out to lunch with some friends then went home and took a nap. After nap, we colored Easter eggs for the first time!

Jack loved it, but he wanted to keep the eggs in the containers. He was not happy when I finally took them out to dry!

I'm pretty sure the Easter bunny went slightly overboard this year and left Jack 2 baskets. One was his normal, personalized basket, and the other was a Cars bucket with shovel. He got a bunny potato head, play-doh, bathtub crayons (his new favorite thing!), Hot Wheels, a Spiderman yo-yo, a kite, goldfish, teddy grahams, and a little bit of chocolate. I might be forgetting something, but that's the gist of it.

In the afternoon we had fun outside, playing at the park and flying his new kite. I even found some pretty bushes and Jack cooperated for a few pictures!

To top it off, we had a mini egg hunt in our front yard.

We had such a great, fun weekend! Seriously, the best Easter yet!
