Calling all December 2009 mama's!!

Alright, fellow mom's, I need some help! I have done a fairly good job of keeping Jack's baby book up-to-date. I recorded everyone who visited us in the hospital, gifts we received, doctor's visits, growth chart, dates of all his firsts, and even the dates he got all of his teeth.

I love the chart this book has for recording new teeth, and I was really diligent on writing the dates in it as soon as a new tooth came in. I have my baby book, and I love that I can pull it out and see when I took my first steps and what my medical history is. I also enjoy comparing when I did things to when Jack first did them. I want Jack to have a nice record of his early years as well, and I think I've done a pretty good job.

There's one section I haven't been as good with and that's where I need your help.

These pages (and others) are blank and I don't know how to find the information close to 2 years after the fact. It might be hard to read (you can click on the pictures to make them larger), but basically I need to know how much things cost when Jack was born (gallon of milk, movie ticket, gas, etc.), and what was going on in the world (best selling books, movies, etc.). Has anyone else filled out a baby book with similar information? If you live in a different area the answers will probably be different, but at least it's a start. I tried googling "cost of gas in December 2009" with no luck. I do have a newspaper from the day Jack was born and I've been good at keeping records of everything relating to him, so overall I think we're good! And I think I could fill these pages out with current info and that would still be ok. It would only be 19 months off!

Has anyone else been keeping a detailed baby book?

Wow!!! You are so awesome!! haha You have so much stuff recorded! As for me, I have certain milestones recoded on my blog, others in a little notebook I usually take to well check-ups, others on random pieces of paper that are who-knows-where in the process of moving! Yeah, I have a newspaper from when Liam was born too! It's awesome. As for costs of stuff around that time, I might have to look up my old reciepts! haha Maybe the BBC might have someone who's got this info? If you find out, please share with your fellow Dec 09 moms and readers!!! :)

We have the same baby book! And I've done a decent job filling in the info. I'll check Everett's for cost of gas, movies, etc. :)

We have the same book too. I ahve been ok with filling it out but not near as thorough as I was with Cameron's. we have the same book too...well the same style...Carter's from target. :) That is the one section I didn't fill much if any out at all. I really need to go through and add things that I have written down from well checks and such. I better get caught up before I have another one to fill out too!

Ha! Those are the exact pages that are blank in Anne's baby book, too! Sorry I can't help!

(BTW, you've done a impressive job filling everything out!)
