Visitors

Man, I have a lot of catching up to do!! Over Memorial Day weekend, my friend Vanessa (who I've known since we were 11) came down from New York with her 15 month old daughter, Alexa. They visited back in August and it was so nice to see them again. The kids are both walking now and it was a lot more fun this time around! We took them to cool off at the Splash Park, which is only 5 minutes from my house. We'll be going back there many times this summer!

The last time they visited we went to the zoo, the pool, shopping, out to eat, and we were just busy the whole time. This time around we wanted to hang out closer to home and not be too overwhelmed with going places. Saturday we went to an outdoor shopping center where we ate lunch and the kids napped in their strollers while we walked around the lake. Sunday we went to the Splash Park, out to lunch and ice cream, and home to play. They left Monday morning. It was a nice visit and the kids got along really well!

They had a blast playing peek-a-boo. It was really funny!! We had a great weekend and look forward to seeing them again when we visit for the 4th of July. It'll be Jack's first road trip and first time away from home. I haven't been home to NY in 2 1/2 years and I can't wait to see my family and for everyone to meet Jack!
