ICE! at the Gaylord

On Thanksgiving Day we went to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for their annual ICE! display. I had never been to the Gaylord and it was beautiful! The whole area was great and I'd love to go back just to walk around.

Each year the theme for ICE! changes. One year it was the Grinch and another it was Shrek. This year's theme was 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. They tell you to dress warm, which we did, and they also give you long blue coats to wear. Without their coats you can't go down the ice slides! I bought tickets through Living Social on a whim and I had no idea what to expect. Absolutely everything is made out of ice so of course it was very cold, but it was also a lot of fun!

The hotel had a train and I promised Jack he could ride it before we left. It was about a 10 minute ride and only $2. Can't beat that!

He sat in the caboose with 2 little girls and he talked their ears off! It was so funny!

We made it home with plenty of time to get some last minute things ready for our Thanksgiving dinner and then we had a great night at home! I'm so thankful for my guys (my dad included)!
