I took the day off work to take Jack to an outdoor children's concert with my mom's group. Performing was Farafina Kan, a West African percussion orchestra. This was the 4th and final concert for the series "Backyard Theatre for Children". I chose this one to go to because Sidney is from West Africa and I want Jack to know that part of him. I definitely had more fun than he did and I even got up on stage and danced with them! They also invited the kids to go up on stage to dance, and when Jack wanted no part of it, I took Eva & Sadie who both wanted to go. We had a blast!
Getting into it:
Jack did go up after the concert to pose for a few pictures and get a closer look at the drums:
Afterwards we went to the park and out to lunch with Eva and her family, then later went to a toddler potluck dinner at a friend's house. We definitely made the most of this day off!

Looks like so much fun! What a great thing to do and a wonderful way for you guys to celebrate Sidney's heritage :)
