Last weekend Jack had a stuffy nose and cough so we mostly stayed home. I did have to run a couple errands on Sunday morning though, and Jack ended up falling asleep in the car on the way back. I let him sleep and when he woke up, we went out for lunch. He loves cheeseburgers and had been requesting one, so that's what we had! We have a great new place that recently opened up called Elevation Burger. They have 100% organic, grass-fed, free-range, ground-on-premises beef. It doesn't upset my stomach the way that Five Guys burgers do and I feel good about giving it to Jack. We both love it!
When we got home we played with Jack's new dinosaur set. He loves it and he set these up all on his own:
While I made dinner Jack watched TV. He was tired from having taken an earlier-than-usual nap and he decided to get more comfy amongst his mess:
I had asked my dad to remove the side from Jack's crib, converting it to a toddler bed. He did it while we were out and after dinner Jack saw it for the first time. He enjoyed jumping around in his new "big boy bed".
He got his pajamas on and I put on the crib rail. Safety first! Here he is pretending to sleep in his new bed:
Unfortunately it didn't last long and when I asked him if he wanted me to turn off the light, he put his arms up and wanted to come to my bed. He does like his new bed (he tells me, "like new bed, mommy"), I just wish he would fall asleep in it! It does make it easier to put him down once he's asleep though. No more leaning over a tall railing! He still ends up in my bed sometimes, which I actually don't mind, I just hate that it takes him so long to fall asleep. Maybe we can kick this habit eventually! But overall I'm happy with the decision to convert his bed. So far, so good!
I hadn't intended this post to be all about our Sunday! I do have a picture of the flowers I got for Valentine's Day. :)
I'm hoping this weekend is more exciting than last, although it is nice to just stay at home playing and catching up on necessary household chores.
Hope everyone had a great week and has an even better weekend!!

I hope Jack is feeling better! Tis the season, huh? We've had our fair share here.
I can't believe his crib has been converted to a toddler bed-such a big boy he is!
By the way, I LOVE those tulips. I'd take those any day over roses. ;)
Gorgeous flowers! I'm a tulip lover as well :)
I wish we had a convertible crib. We're currently big girl bed shopping, though no hurry, since A probably won't be out of ours yet. I don't mind though, either.
We have an Elevation Burger here also - I'll have to check it out!!
