Christmas morning was so much fun! Jack was so excited to see all the presents when he came downstairs. Between his birthday and Christmas, he's now a pro at opening gifts.
Inspecting the first gift from Meme:
So excited about his Cars light-up spinner toy
Every year he gets a new furry friend, and this year was a super soft polar bear
He lined up his new cars as soon as we got them out of the package!
"Helicopter fly high up in the sky"
Jack got animal crackers in his stocking and they were gone really fast!
After all the presents were opened (and the cinnamon rolls were out of the oven), I took Jack down to the basement to see the train table for the first time.
He didn't get an excited look on his face like I thought he might, but he loved it. He went right over to it and started lining the trains up on the track. He knew what to do right from the start! It was like it had always been there.
Jack didn't want to go back upstairs for anything, so him and Sidney stayed downstairs playing while I went upstairs and enjoyed a cinnamon roll (or 2). We had a great day playing with all our new things and enjoyed a yummy pot roast dinner. After dinner we had some homemade peppermint oreo ice cream from a local ice cream shop. It was so good!
Then we started another new tradition and drove around to look at Christmas lights. I used to do this with my mom when I was a kid and I always loved it. It was nice to do it again and have Jack there to enjoy it. He kept saying, "lights, pretty."
We saw some incredible houses with crazy light displays all within 5 minutes from home. These houses are kind of hidden and you can't see them from the road. You would never know they're there unless you went down the various streets. I'm so glad we did and now we know where to go next year!
Jack was so involved this year and we had an absolutely wonderful and fun Christmas!

Very cute photos!!! Glad you had a great Christmas!! (Now it's my turn to make my belated Christmas post! :)
Presley reacted the same way with her kitchen. She just kind of jumped in and started playing. Yay for starting new traditions!!! Jack looks adorable as always, and I think I'm going to need you to send some of that ice-cream my way!
aww, what a fun Christmas!! Love his little jammies :)
I love traditions so much, it's always so fun to start new ones with your family!!
Sounds like a wonderful Christmas!!! I love traditions and look forward to having them with Bennett.
First off, I LOVE his pj's!!!! SO CUTE!!!
Second, wow - our Christmas experience was very similar! We had cinnamon rolls, Ava got a train table (the same one, actually!!!) from Santa, and we had a pot roast dinner the three of us. Holy moly!
I absolutely love Christmas with the kiddos - much better than pre-parenthood!
Looks like you had a great Christmas! Love his jammies too.
