Jack wants to be a super fast runner just like The Flash. :) Well there isn't a movie out about him (although there is one scheduled for 2016) and it's really hard to find a costume. If I was more crafty I probably could've just made one. But I already had a costume and I knew this was probably the last year where I could dress Jack up as something cute.
Introducing.....
Jack the parrot!
Isn't he the cutest? He wasn't thrilled with it at first, but I told him he was "Bucky" from the Disney Junior show Jake and the Neverland Pirates and that helped. I love it!
Some highlights from our Halloween:
Helping me carve pumpkins. Jack said, "I have a really hard job." He separated the seeds from the pumpkin goop. :)
The finished pumpkins. I chose the cat and Jack the mouse.
With his friend Eva at a Halloween party
Waiting to go trick-or-treating
Standing in front of a house in the neighborhood that always goes all out
Eating candy and waiting for trick-or-treaters
What we've done the last couple years is go trick-or-treating at a few houses in the neighborhood early in the evening, then go home to pass out candy and see all the different costumes. We were the only townhouse in a row of 7 that was handing out candy. I like being there for the trick-or-treaters!
We did a photo shoot the Sunday before Halloween (which is where the first picture came from) and I'll post more of those as a wordless Wednesday post. They turned out great! I love getting pictures of Jack in his costume but my pictures are nowhere near as good as Sarah's! She's taken Halloween pics for us the last 3 years now and hopefully she'll continue to do so. :) For anyone interested, here's her Facebook page: Eden's Cove Photography.
