Phone Dump Friday!

I've got a little catching up to do! We've been pretty busy lately...here's a glimpse at what we've been up to!

I'm still running and still pushing Jack in the stroller on most of my runs.We actually ran a family 5K over Labor day weekend.

Showing off his well earned medal:

Sidney ran his fastest 5K while pushing Jack!

At the park after one of our weeknight runs:

Also on Labor Day weekend, I was baptized!

Daddy and Jack have been having fun going to the monthly Home Depot kids workshops:

Jack's drawing skills are fast improving. One day he's drawing lines and circles and the next day he's drawing houses and snowmen! Here's his house that he drew by himself, complete with chimney and smoke:

He's also getting really good at writing his letters and numbers. He's been writing his name for awhile now and I figured we could try our hand at making a birthday card for daddy. It turned out way better than I expected!  He asked me to show him how to make a "Y", which I did on a separate sheet of paper. He was successful on his first try! He started writing too far down the paper for it all to fit, which is why it says "Birthday Happy", but it just adds to it's awesomeness. I hope I get an awesome birthday card like this. Hint, hint. ;)

Sidney has been taking the metro to work but that all changed when he got his new scooter a couple weeks ago!

I'm so happy he can get around more easily now. And it saves money!

Speaking of new ways to get around, my dad recently got a new bike. He used to ride bicycles for fun and he even did a century ride! For those of you who don't know, my dad was in a motorcycle accident 4 years ago which resulted in his left leg being amputated just below the knee. He got back on his motorcycle just 1 year later (and still rides!) and has always wanted to get back on a bicycle as well. He's doing it now! He even hopes to do a ride with Team in Training next year. He's a rock star (and a goof ball)!

I bought this apron for Jack before he was even walking. I found it last weekend while cleaning and he wore it to help me make pumpkin bars on Wednesday. So cute!!

I absolutely love this time of year. It's sunny with a cool, brisk breeze, the leaves are starting to change color and fall, sweatshirts have been dusted off, pumpkins are getting painted, houses decorated, and all the delicious pumpkin flavored goodies are out. I'm looking forward to all the fall festivities that our in our future!

So great to catch up and hear what you guys have been up to! I love these pictures - and how exciting you were baptized! I was at 8, but then again into the Episcopalian faith the day before Ava's baptism, and it was a really lovely day :) Congrats!

I also love this time of year, though our temps are still pretty high (90's, sometimes high 90's!), so I still look forward to the sweatshirt part of this season :)
