I didn't want to take him to a kiddie salon and when my dad suggested the place he goes to, I decided to give it a try. I never would have thought to go there but I loved it! I may even go there the next time I want a haircut.
While waiting, he saw one of the hairdressers using a blow dryer and he looked worried. I assured him they wouldn't be using a blow dryer on his hair and he relaxed. He did really well, barely spoke a word the whole time, and kept a serious look on his face except when I asked him to smile for a picture.

I wish I had had my nice camera to capture this milestone, but I decided while I was at work that I would take Jack right after picking him up. We got lucky and there wasn't a wait. Thank goodness for the iPhone!
As if this wasn't enough to make me feel like Jack really is becoming a big boy, last week he jumped off the ground with both feet for the first time! I noticed other kids doing it, even younger ones, and knew Jack would just do it in his own time. Whenever I prompted him to jump he'd lift one foot, put it down, then lift the other foot. He would kind of hop a little. Out of nowhere, last Saturday I looked at Jack and it registered that he's jumping! I sounded like a crazy person, cheering and shouting, and he just laughed and kept doing it. He really is a big boy!

I know I said this on FB, but I love it! He looks so big :) I'm glad he took it so well. Ava's last haircut was a nightmare.
